International Corporate Governance and Sustainability ( level 4 UG )
The module introduces key concepts of international corporate governance and sustainability , theoretical approaches of explaining governance and sustainability practices , mechanisms of implementing , and managing corporate governance and sustainability activities . The module familiarizes students with national and international codes of governance and demonstrates the global initiatives of sustainability reporting . The module further explains how use of governance and sustainability information can enhance decision-making at a company level and help stakeholders to assess the corporate financial and non-financial performance . Finally , the module will also outline the future of corporate governance and sustainability .
Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility ( level 5 UG )
The aim of this module is to provide understanding about the changing relationships between business corporations , society , natural environment , and stakeholders in the context of a corporate governance agenda . The module provides a broad introduction to , and an opportunity to deliberate upon , some of the challenges posed by the corporate social responsibility and accounting codes and conventions which corporations use as a management tool for corporate governance to ensure social and environmental sustainable development . The module examines the theoretical frameworks available , discusses the challenges faced by companies , and explores the insight these models provide for understanding this element of business behaviour .
Marketing and Globalization ( level 6 UG )
This module aims to provide students with opportunities to understand how theory works in practice , through application of theory to a range of global organisational contexts . The module encourages a critical lens , evaluating the impact of marketing activities for a range of stakeholders within the global marketplace . Key indicative topics include consumption and production , marketing to the bottom of the pyramid , marketing ethics , and consumers as agents of change .
Contemporary Challenges in Global Business ( MSc level PG )
Sustainability and sustainable development are in the foreground of contemporary challenges facing global business in the 2020s . The aim of the module is to develop intellectual skills and deeper understanding of the challenges associated with a transition to more sustainable systems of consumption and production .
