The Vintage Motorcycle Club Rally, along with the Classic TT forms as big a part of the Island's Isle of Man's Festival of Motorcycling' as the Manx Grand Prix itself. I never used to really get the Classic Bike scene but that was obviously because the old, mainly British iron that people rode around on didn't mean that much to me. If you're lucky enough to be on the Isle of Man for the last two weeks in August you'll see plenty of BSA's, Triumphs, and Nortons perusing the Island beautifully scenic roads.

You'll also get to see prime examples of bikes that allow you to trace our two wheel biking evolution right back to its very beginnings through to the present day. Now history seems to be repeating itself in just the same way as the British bike industry withered and succumbed to the onslaught of oriental manufacturers the Classic bike scene seems to be slowly turning Japanese (great track by the way - the Vapors).

Seeing the Manx countryside filled with plumes of spent two stroke smoke may not be to the liking of Manx Green Party activists, but I for one think it's just awesome! Takes me straight back to my youth and a time when Lizzy, Maiden and AC/DC ruled the airways. Oh yes - roll out the pre-mix and bring on the RD's, KH's and GT's! I just can't get enough of those bikes - personal highlight number one of Manx Grand Prix week!
