What is SS24 KTM MXGP?
Helmed by the only rider from the UK to have won
premier class ‘MXGP’ Grands Prix, SS24 KTM MXGP is a
brand new team centred around multi-British
Champion Shaun Simpson and with direct support
from the KTM race division in Mattighofen, Austria; a
manufacturer with more than 300 FIM titles in their
portfolio and winner of the MXGP crown twice in the
last three years and seven times this decade.
Simpson is a fi fteen-year veteran of Grand Prix and will
enter his fourth season with KTM backing in 2020.
Why MXGP and motocross?
The FIM Motocross World Championship – MXGP -
is the biggest promotional platform for the sport.
The 2020 calendar involves 20 Grands Prix from
Argentina to Asia with robust and expanding online
followers and diverse cultures, clubs and circuits
vying for a place on the FIM slate. The MXGP class
features almost thirty of the fastest, most experi-
enced competitors in off -road motorcycle racing
and from a spread of nationalities.
In addition SS24 KTM MXGP will contest the full
eight rounds of the Maxxis British Championship
where Shaun has his sights fi rmly set on a fourth
national title.
Also forming part of a busy schedule will be
pre-season International events in the UK, France
and Belgium with other high profi le appearances
at Beach races – Weston and Enduropale
Le Touquet on the agenda.
