Milly's
Tales
This month seemed to be getting back to normal for us. My chauffeur thought it was time to take me away for some Dad and Milly time so he booked us into a Milly friendly B&B in Whitehaven so we could enjoy exploring the beautiful Lake District. After a good night sleep and a high energy English breakfast in our belly’s we set off early to enjoy our day riding.
We really knocked it off. The sun was shining as we headed south along the A595 to Broughton-in-Furness, where we then started zig zagging slowly north taking in as much of the beautiful road and scenery as we could possible absorb with my human enjoying the twisties while I enjoyed barking at all the sheep alerting them of my presence.
We really had a blast!
After a great day we started heading towards Carlisle to make the final leg of the journey home but as soon as we stopped for dinner that was it! My Human was in a food coma! No way was he’s going to ruin it and go home so he booked into the Pinegrove Hotel where I could mingle with the local’s while my human had a few refreshments! We headed home the next day (slowly) to face our punishment for staying out an extra night!
Its exciting doing stuff with the whole family (what dog doesn’t like going walks and taken to the park) but I really thought that was dad and I back to normal and exploring the county on the bike!
You could imagine how disappointed I was watching my dad load the bike, gearing up for the Isle of Skye Trifest Rally. I didn’t even have a scent that I wasn’t going until I heard that beautiful roar of the inline triple engine coming to life!!
I didn’t know what to do! I barked and barked, I flung myself of the door, darted back and forth to the window! He left without me!!!!! After I whimpered to mum for a while anger set in! You see, I have a voodoo Triumph motorcycle doll that I used the last time dad left me out of his adventures. After a wee bite to the voodoo engine I ruined that day for him as he broke down and had to come home!! I honestly thought he’d learn. Obviously not!
He left Friday and on Sunday there was still no sign of him! In anger I ripped into that voodoo motorcycle doll again!! IT WORKED HE BROKE DOWN AGAIN!! He came home later that day all moody.
The bike didn’t return home until the following week and still needs repaired but I hope he’s now learned his lesson and doesn’t leave me at home again!
