I was part of the 40 Day Kingdom Harvest Prayer
Challenge two years ago. As I journeyed through the 40
days, God moulded and comforted me. I was so inspired
during this time that I continued praying and fasting for
a further 20 days. I became ‘addicted’ to talking to God
and seeking Him. The momentum from this time instilled
in me the importance of prayer and fasting, which has
continued to play a significant part in my life.
I have developed the discipline of constantly talking to
Jesus through praise and worship, and to experience
how He answers my prayers. God says in James 4:8,
‘Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.’ This
has been my experience as my relationship with God and
spirituality deepen over time.
Living out this spirituality has changed the spiritual realm
in my home as well. There has been a positive change
in my family members, including my Dad who was
greatly impacted. After many years of rejection, we were
overjoyed when he had a change of heart and decided to
be baptised.
Seeking God through prayer, listening and obedience are
now the keys to the door of my life.
