Southeast High School ! The Southeast Tiger Basketball Team recently won the ECCC Tournament, their first win since the Tourney began in 2001. This is also the Tigers’ first Tourney win since 2005. Takari Brooks and JaKennis Heidelberg were named to the AllTournament Team, and LaRuffus Ruffin was named Tourney MVP. The Tiger Head Coach is Centel Truman, and the Assistant Coaches are Jeremy Walk & Monique Horner. Congratulations! The annual Lauderdale County Soccer Tournament was held on Saturday, November 22nd at the NE Soccer Complex. The Southeast Lauderdale Boys' Soccer Team won the Tournament for the first time EVER! The Tigers played 4 tough games, beating West Lauderdale 1-0 in the first game, Meridian High 3-0 in the second game, Northeast 1-0 in the third game, and finishing with a 1-1 tie versus Clarkdale. Because the team had so many shutouts, thanks in large part to some awesome defense from goalkeeper Logan Taylor, their scores brought the team the Tournament win. Chase Hughes scored many of our 6 goals that day, and Andrew Bernard displayed outstanding leadership on the field of play. The Tigers are coached by Mike Thomas and Assistant Coach Josh Johnson. Congratulations, Tigers, on this awesome feat! We are so proud of you! 4 SEHS Skills USA cut out wooden ornaments and invited the Boys and Girls Club to come and decorate them on December 3.
