Clarkdale High School Clarkdale Wins $25,000 Grant Jeffrey Wilson with State Farm Insurance presented Clarkdale High School with a check for $25,000 on Friday, December 6, 2014. Heather Rios, CHS Leads advisor, accepted the donation along with high school principal Mrs. Cheryl Thomas. The monetary gift was made based on students’ online commitments to drive safely as part of “Celebrate My Drive” program across the country. Parents, teachers and many others in the community helped out by going online to commit to safe driving practices. Ten percent of the money will be utilized to promote safe driving while the remainder of the donation will go towards technology and instruction within the school. Clarkdale is one of 100 schools chosen to receive the grant. Randy Hodges, Ed Mosley, Fredie Carmichael, Videt Carmichael and Greg Snowden were present for the event.
