The night also highlighted the emerging career
of Kings and his breakout hit “Don’t Worry Bout
It”. The song catapulted Kings as an artist and
is renowned for holding the record for the longest
running #1 single on the NZ Singles Charts – taking
the crown held by Lorde. “Don’t Worry Bout It” is
such a great demonstration of what one song can
do to change someone’s life.
The 2017 VPMAs were
significantly impacted by the
presence of the one and only
Aaradhna and the new shinning
light that is Kings, who were the
two big winners on the night,
taking home four awards each.
Kings has a strong physical presence – with his
stature and broad shoulders. His speeches gave
evidence to a well spoken, humble and grounded
young man. It was clear that he has been
determined and focus with his music and is set
to establish a strong career in the music industry.
He is well supported with his music and gave
acknowledgment and recognition to two key people,
his manager and his father – which again hinted to
his character as a person.
Both Aaradhna and Kings are now working on their
new projects – writing new songs and hitting the
studio – we all can’t wait to hear what they create
and to share the next phase of their music journey
