ADEAC EXHIBITION
21 ideas for a sustainable school
From 4th to 10th April our
school held an exhibition
called 21 ideas for a
sustainable
school,
something that ADEAC was
eager to share with all the
schools in our Autonomous
Community.
The eco-school committee
decided to hold it as a followup
activity
to
the
brainstorming session which
the students took part in that
encouraged them to get as
many ideas as possible to
make the posters on water
consumption and energy
saving. We thought it would
be a good way for them to
become aware of the fact
their ideas and suggestions
would contribute to us
heading in the right direction.
The exhibition consisted of
several pannels, each of them
devoted to a specific topic:
recycling, ideas to carry out
both in school and at home,
how to grow a school orchard
or consumers’ rights.
It also had several panels
which dealt with activities
that we can work with as
workshops, for instance, how
to make soap from herbs,
seeds and recycled oil.
ideas, experiences and
information in a youth
hostel. All the members of
our school community
really liked it, and we hope
to hold it again next year.
Our students were thrilled
with this idea, and we are
planning to carry it out
during the next school year
in our intercultural week
and in the annual ecoschool meeting, where all
the Spanish eco-schools
gather in order to share
