A small music studio tucked away in London , owned , and operated by a team of young entrepreneurs . The atmosphere is inviting , with the studio ’ s walls painted in light and dark grey , decorated with colourful vinyl covers and art . There are lined up instruments like guitars , keyboards , drums everywhere , while the studio ’ s centrepiece is a large mixing console . I am sitting on a grey velvet couch in front of Matteo Tao who is part of the music business called ‘ Keep Me Young ’, a collective of artists . The studio is new , as they only moved in last year , after working on music in their apartments for ages . Back then they improvised with blankets and pillows to create a soundproof room , now their floor and part of the walls are covered in carpeting to help absorb sound and reduce noise .
The team , consisting of three men , Matteo Tao , Dan Fable and George Tyekiff is in their twenties and thirties . They are a picture of youthful talent and passion for music and a drive to create something unique . They formed the studio out of a desire to provide an outlet for local musicians to share their work . The studio is equipped with the latest technology to ensure that their recordings are of the highest quality . They take pride in their work and try to make the experience of working with them as easy and flowing as possible .
Matteo himself is from Rome and moved to London at only 18 to fulfill his dream of becoming a producer and songwriter . Almost ten years later he is where he always wanted to be . After studying Sound Engineering and Sound and Neuroscience , he worked in different jobs related to music , before finding his way to ‘ Keep Me Young ’.
Lately the studio has become a haven for the local music scene , drawing in artists of all backgrounds . It has become a place where people can come together and make something special , something that will last for years to come . It ’ s a powerful reminder of the power of music and the potential for young entrepreneurs to make a positive impact on their community . Every artist who wants to work with them is welcome and treated the same . The passion that is driving people to make music with ‘ Keep me Young ’ is what Matteo loves most about his work lately . For him , having success in the industry goes back to good networking
