The endocrine system is made up of all the glands and tissue that secrete hormones inside the body. The main function of the endocrine system is to maintain the body in homeostasis by releasing hormones as a response to stimulus.The hormones released by the endocrine system´s glands are chemicals that affect other glands or tissues that change our digestion, heart rate, cellular metabolism, sexual development, growth and development among others. These glands are controlled by stimulation from the nervous and by chemical receptors in the blood and hormones produced by other glands.
ENDOCRINE SYSTEM
In conclusion, the endocrine system is responsible of multiple organs functions, without it the chemical reactions need would not be happening, making the body inefficient and might die. We can see that most of the hormones are released by the pituitary

gland, located inside the brain, that affect from the kidneys to the liver and bone growth, which gives it a very important role in the endocrine system. Other hormones are secreted by other organs such as the pancreas, testes, ovaries, just to name the basics.
