ndustrial Processors and Metalizers,
founded in 1972 by GC Sood, offers
services to the printing industry. The
company helps replace old worn-out
parts of printing machines with brand
new ones and also provides refurbish-
ing services on used printing machines.
The company has been the first mover
in the industry to provide these services
to printers.
At Printpack, the company is show-
ing its NanoTuff and NanoHard range
of coatings. These are robotic coatings
with highest possible accuracy for dot
transfer, thereby providing good print
quality. These coatings are corrosion
resistant and provide 15 plus years of
corrosion-free life to the rollers and cyl-
inders.
The company brings in the latest
technologies in surface modification.
“We basically enhance the surface of
the printing machine components such
as rollers and cylinders. We even have
smaller machine components such as
grippers and chase strips. There are

various offset printing companies that
we are associated with. We also work
with people who have a Heidelberg
or a KBA and instead of going in for
a new machine, the general behavior
is to change the machine parts. We are
the only company in India that provides
original coatings. We have worked with
various web offset machine users such
as Times of India, Rajasthan Patrika
and Punjab Kesari, among others.
“We service the mechanical parts
or lets say the moving parts in a print-
ing machine. The main heart of the ma-
chine can be repaired by us and you can
get the moving part back to its original
state. We also provide extended war-
ranty on the parts supplied by us. Ours
is a completely robotic facility, one that
is microprocessor controlled without
any manual interference,” says Surbhi
Sood, senior manager at IPM.
IPM does not only serve the print-
ing industry; in fact, it began its jour-
ney with the printing industry 46 years
ago. The company is now a diversified
service conglomerate. It serves hy-
dro power, automobile, textile, steam
turbine and thermal power industries,
among others.
