Course Name: IB History of the Americas / Twentieth Century HL Type of Course: Elective Course
Available to: 11th- 12th grade( IB)
Prerequisites: Must be in IB program
Description: This is a college-level, two-year world history program in which year one focuses on the History of the Americas and year two examines 20th-century global history through a comparative, multi-perspective lens. Across both years, students build advanced analytical, research, and critical thinking skills as they work with primary sources, interpret multiple viewpoints, and apply key historical concepts such as change, continuity, causation, consequence, significance, and perspectives. Exam Required. This course is only for students in the IB program. Students earn an additional 1.0 quality point towards their GPA for this course.

Description: This is a college-level, two-year course that helps students understand how individuals, governments, and nations make choices in a world shaped by scarcity and interdependence. Through economic models, realworld issues, and conceptual inquiry, students develop skills and perspectives needed to analyze economic behavior and act responsibly as global citizens. Exam Required. Description: This is a college-level, two-year course that engages students in systematic critical inquiry into fundamental questions about what it means to be a human. Through the examination of abstract, yet everyday concepts, consideration of ethical issues from various perspectives, and use of core text, students deepen and clarify their understanding of philosophical questions and explore a range of possible responses. Exam Required. This course is only for students in the IB program. Students earn an additional 1.0 quality point towards their GPA for this course.
Course Name: IB Theory of Knowledge( TOK) Type of Course: Elective Course
Available to: 11th and 12th grade( IB)
Prerequisites: Must be in IB program
Description: This is a rigorous, two-year course and core diploma requirement that asks students to examine the nature, scope, and limitations of knowledge by reflecting on how they know what they know. By exploring how different disciplines generate and justify knowledge, TOK connects and enriches students’ learning across the IB subjects while helping them analyze the similarities and differences among various areas of knowledge. External Assessmnet( Exhibition and essay) Required. This course is only for students in the IB program.
