Description: The course is a college-level, two-year course that explores powerful works from across cultures and time periods, examining how writers, readers, context, language, and intertextuality shape meaning. Through close reading and engagement with diverse critical perspectives, students develop their own interpretations, consider how others read texts differently, and analyze how literature reflects and transforms human experience. Exam Required. This course is only for students in the IB program. Students earn an additional 1.0 quality point towards their GPA for this course.
Course Name: Journalism / Annual I- IV Type of Course: Elective Course
Available to: 11th and 12th grade Prerequisites: None
Description: These courses let students explore journalistic writing through the analysis and creation of yearbooks. It concentrates on the purpose, influence, structure, and language use. It also covers newsgathering, ethics, copyrighting, editing, and revising. It will also include typesetting, layout, circulation, and production as minor aspects.
