COLLIER'S RESERVE COUNTRY CLUB

26

The Collier's Reserve Community was developed by Collier's Reserve LTD, an affiliate of Collier Enterprises. Collier's Reserve LTD was primarily responsible for selling the homesites and for completing construction of the owner's association's facilities

From the beginning, Collier's Reserve was meticulously planned as a residential country club community on approximately 450 acres of land. One of the nation's leading land planners, Edward D. Stone and Associates, was engaged to guide the use of this piece of land that had been in the Collier family holdings for seven decades befrore development. The land was originally permitted for 385 homes, with two areas designated for condominiums or higher density construction. Ultimately, the land usage was limited to just 224 single family homesites.

As previously mentioned, in 1993 when development of the wilderness which is now Collier's Reserve began, the bridge, which spans the Cocohatchee River and now leads to the Clubhouse, was restored by the developer.
