Blank Rome remains steadfast in our commitment to environmentally sustainable business practices across all levels of the firm. We continue to advance our“ paper-lite” initiative, recycle all shredded paper, and partner with vendors who prioritize responsible environmental practices. Our offices are located in environmentally efficient buildings, and we consistently seek out energy-efficient equipment and eco-friendly products to support our operations. We remain dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint and fostering a healthier workplace and environment.
2024 FEATURED HIGHLIGHTS
Philadelphia Office Renovations As a part of our continued commitment to sustainability, Blank Rome’ s recent Philadelphia office renovations reflect our focus on minimizing environmental impact through thoughtful design and resource reuse. In collaboration with our architect, Gensler, we actively integrated Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design(“ LEED”) principles into every stage of the design process, ensuring that sustainability was embedded from the ground up.
Creating Sustainable Practices
at Blank Rome
Wherever possible, we retained and repurposed existing materials to reduce waste and extend the life of valuable assets. When selecting new materials, we prioritized options that offer both durability and a low environmental footprint, ensuring long-term functionality with minimal maintenance. The renovation also incorporated Energy Star-certified appliances to improve energy efficiency, and a lighting system designed to exceed code requirements by 33 percent in Lighting Power Density. These efforts underscore our dedication to creating workspaces that are both environmentally responsible and thoughtfully designed.
New Corporate Travel Partner To help reduce our carbon footprint, we have partnered with a new corporate travel provider that is a leader in travel management and holds an EcoVadis Gold rating, placing them in the top 15 percent of their industry for sustainability. EcoVadis is a well-regarded provider of business sustainability ratings.
This partnership empowers our colleagues to make more environmentally conscious travel choices by:
• Displaying CO₂ emissions for flights and hotels during the booking process;
• Highlighting eco-certified accommodations aligned with Global Sustainable Tourism Council standards; and
• Recommending lower-emission rail alternatives for domestic travel.
