YLJ: How are you feeling?
DR: Right now I'm just in the healing process again.
YLJ: Derrick can you just talk about the mental part that you've had to go through since the first moment in Portland when you felt some pain in your knee then having to find out you'd have to have surgery again.
DR: You know at first, just the process of actually dealiung with the injury. It's kind of frustrating at first knowing that I'm gonna miss a long period of time without playing the game that I love playing. It's tough right when it happened, but me having these days to think about it and just being appreciative of me actually going out there showing them glimpes of how I use to play. That's encouraging. I know that I have a bright future so I'm not really worried about it.
YLJ: What do you have to say to your fans? They've supported you through all of this no matter what.
DR: They're incredible. They show so much love not to just me but also the Chicago Bulls as a team. They should know that I'm alright. I'll be back, no doubt about it.
