P H A S E II : drawing up an inventory
The next step for me was , after I learned a lot about the area and the castle , to focus on my main buildings and the people leaving there . I got in touch with the owners of these buildings and got all the plans and historical information about the buildings . On the map ( next page ) it is visible that Balzers has three main centres , which grow around important landmarks . In the east we can see that Balzers grew around the parish house and the central church . In the centre , around Castle Gutenberg , new houses , and farms , but also other economical buildings , grew , where also my selected four buildings are situated . In the western part , in Mäls , the village grew around the chapel of St . Peter .
