MOTHERS AT SCHOOL IN 2050. THE SCHOOL IN 2050 VS THE SCHOOL IN 2018 UNDER THE POINT OF VIEW OF MOTHERS. We are a group of mothers and with our children we’re reliving our school times. We have noticed a lot of differences. For example, the way to do the lessons changed a lot: • The tests are developed by using only digital materials on online platforms. • If the student isn’t at school, he/she can follow the lessons via Skype; • Books aren’t used anymore, substituted by tablets and computers. Yesterday I took my son to the library to show him how I used to study at his age, and he did not even know what a library was like and how to leaf through a book. Students’ assessment is based on their critical thinking, while in the past, extensive knowledge was required. Maths uses new methods such as problem solving, so that teachers are seen as a guiding light towards the path of innovation. As regards literature, pupils are the protagonists of their stories. The teacher will no longer ask to learn the texts by heart, but the students create stories through creative projects. TECHNOLOGICAL CHILDREN. Compared to the past years, I see a profound change from a social point of view. At the moment, I am a teacher of languages and I can notice many differences. With regards to the way to go to school, it has changed a lot; in the past we used to go to our school by bus or by car and now you do not go to school by means of transportation because the only thing you need is to connect to the Internet. As a matter of fact, the present education system is based on distance learning.
