city. Capstone has begun the first phase of a residential subdivision at the former Specht Farm site, which will include 80 homes and provide a connection to Highway 10. Building sites are expected to be ready by late summer to early fall. Work is also progressing on the Meadowsweet Bend development, where utility installation for the first phase was completed last fall and paving is scheduled for this spring.
Business Developments: Several commercial projects and business openings are also moving forward. Kwik Trip plans to break ground in May on a new convenience store and gas station west of the Westbound Liquor Store after purchasing the Fox Haven lots from the Economic Development Authority last year. Les Schwab Tire Center, 17994 Zane St. NW, and MC’ s Pub, 13479 Business Center Drive, both opened in March. Casey’ s Convenience Stores also purchased Ralphie’ s Minnoco, 13374 U. S. Highway 10, late last year and has received a permit to relocate the existing sign to the site with interim branding. Residents can follow project updates by visiting the city’ s website or social media channels.
