The Renown Health Community Health Needs Assessment( CHNA) marks a critical step in developing a healthcare model tailored to the diverse needs of Washoe County and the communities we serve. It reflects our commitment to breaking down barriers and building a resilient, equitable healthy community. Our approach to healthcare planning extends beyond traditional methods, acknowledging the complex interplay of factors, including social determinants of health. We are dedicated to advancing health equity by ensuring equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their background, to lead healthy lives. Renown Health will collaborate with community partners to implement a Community Health Implementation Strategy & Plan, addressing the priorities identified in the CHNA and ensuring measurable progress in advancing community well-being.
Overview of Grant Opportunity Renown Health’ s Community Benefit Program gives an opportunity for local organizations to collaborate in addressing the region ' s most pressing health challenges. Guided by Renown ' s mission, this program focuses on supporting initiatives that align with key health priorities identified through the CHNA. By providing Better Together Community Benefit Grants, Renown aims to strengthen partnerships and create measurable, sustainable improvements in community health. Better Together Community Benefits Grants are not Community Event Sponsorships, Corporate Marketing Sponsorships, or Partnership for Progress Grants.
Eligible Organizations Applicants must hold a current 501( c)( 3) designation and demonstrate alignment with Renown Health’ s mission vision or values. Funding may be allocated to public agencies, including health departments, school districts, or other government entities. Other organizations and individuals are not eligible.
Grant Awards Grantees will be awarded funding up to $ 10,000 for calendar year 2026, determined by their alignment with priority populations, the scope of their work, and the strength of their project plan. We will not consider more than one application per year from any single non-profit organization. Additional information found below under“ Assessment Criteria”.
