The agency provides referrals to area mental health agencies including services for adults, children, senior citizens and persons who may be vulnerable or developmentally disabled.
Canvas Health— 555 W. Broadway Suites # 2 and 3, Forest Lake, 651-777-5222 or www. canvashealth. org. Programs help children, adolescents, adults and families struggling with issues involving mental or chemical health and domestic or sexual abuse.

The organization connects resources and volunteers to improve the quality of life for adults and their families in the local community, particularly senior citizens who want to remain at home and live independently.

Other programs include rental assistance, employment mentoring, food kits, basic need items, Clotheslines clothing distribution, counseling referrals and computer access.
Fairview Recovery Services— 612-672-2736 or www. fairview. org. Services include chemical-dependency evaluation, treatment and outpatient care for adults and adolescents in multiple locations including Forest Lake. For counseling on anxiety disorders, chronic illness, depression and other disorders, call 612-672-6999.

This charitable organization provides free programs, services and advocacy to those in need using a network of 10 area food shelves as well as thrift stores open to the public. Forest Lake is also one of three locations with a teen center, and the organization offers mentoring programs for at-risk, special-needs, and disadvantaged youth such as a peer / buddy and career-development programs. Services for seniors through Family Pathways include those to help meet the needs of older adults and their families through home visits and bi-monthly social-respite events.
