The area of Forest Lake and the communities within it offer what many families and businesses seek – growing cities small enough to be personal and large enough to have all the conveniences and amenities for top-quality work and play.
This publication aims to help welcome potential neighbors and provide useful resources to both natives and newcomers.
This annual community guide presents insight into the cities of Forest Lake, Wyoming, Scandia and Columbus and the township of Linwood, as well as information about local schools, libraries, and parks and recreation, and area social services. Readers will find listings by the Forest Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, along with updated information about government entities and officials.
The Forest Lake area lies on the eastern edge of Minnesota about 25 miles north of St. Paul, and it straddles three counties: Anoka, Washington and Chisago. Residents and guests find charming communities, thriving commerce and access to a variety of natural attractions, all in an enchanting balance of a rural and suburban feel.
An easy drive brings people to one of half a dozen shimmering lakes or wide-open public spaces, including the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. Residents discover recreational and educational opportunities at such destinations as the Carlos Avery Wildlife Management Area, the Wildlife Science Center and the Rice Creek Chain of Regional Lakes.
