Hidden Park— 162nd Avenue and Potomac, has just under two acres of play space with a half-court basketball area, swings and a sandbox, picnic table, and bench.
LINWOOD
Alquist— 23890 Julliard St., has a baseball field, swings, slides, basketball court, benches and picnic tables.
Birchwood— 21350 W. Birchwood Circle NE. Undeveloped park land
Boettcher Farm— corner of Fawn Lake Dr. and Taurus St. NE and built in 2013 with park-dedicated funds, has a playground, a picnic shelter with grill, adult exercise options and equipment for seniors to help build strength and achieve mobility.
Broadbent Memorial— 22810 Typo Creek Dr. NE, offers fields for baseball, softball, football and soccer; full-court basketball, tennis and pickle ball courts, swings, slide, playground, picnic tables, benches and parking, as well as a covered pavilion for picnics and other events. Dedicated to the memory of Carroll Broadbent.
East Side of Town Hall park— Ball field, park benches and parking
Fairway Flyerz Disc Park— 9410 236th Ave NE, consists of a challenging 9-hole disc-golf course and park.
Four Seasons Recreational— 6720 229th Ave NE, consists of a skateboard facility, BMX bicycle track, baseball fields, volleyball court, children’ s playground equipment, ice skating rinks and warming house.
Givens— 6659 242nd Lane NE, offers a basketball court and playground equipment, picnic tables, benches and parking.
Linwood Community Park and School Forest— provides more than 200 acres of recreational area that features paths and boardwalks for hiking and cross-country skiing including heavily wooded areas and many open spaces, as well as picnic tables, benches and interesting land formations.
Martin Lake Shores Beach— W. Martin Lake Dr. NE, includes a picnic table and benches, with a public boat landing nearby at the county’ s Martin-Island-Linwood Lakes Regional Park.
North Star Park – 24470 East Typo Lake Drive N. E. Community seniors have planted flowers along with some landscaping. At this time this park is mostly wooded with a few walking paths.
Olympic Green— 5211 226th Ave. NE, features a basketball court, swings, playground equipment, picnic tables, benches and parking.
Paradise Point Park – Undeveloped parkland located on the shores of Fawn Lake
Playful Shadows— 23461 Japura St. NE, consists of a playground and a woodland nature walking trail.
Woodlyn Park – 240th Ave. NE and Purdue Street NE, undeveloped park land.
SCANDIA
Bicycle routes— Through the efforts of the Friends of Scandia Parks and Trails, a designated number of cycling routes are marked through the city. A map is available online at cityofscandia. com / residents / visit / recreation. php under“ cycling Scandia” or at
the city offices. In early 2024, Scandia and Washington County began studying how to make the city center more accessible to walkers and bikers to prepare for a redesign project.
Community Center— 14727 209th Street North, there is an updated children’ s playground, tennis and pickleball courts with pickleball adjusting straps and court markings for both sports. The community center is a wellused facility that houses the city offices, banquet hall with kitchen facilities, meeting rooms, restrooms and outdoor recreational facilities on an 18-acre site.
Goose Lake Boat Launch— 22001 Oldfield Avenue North, there is a small boat launch for Goose Lake.
Leonard Wojtowicz Skating Rink— 14727 209th Street North, is an ice skating rink with warming house facilities that transforms to a skateboard park from spring through fall. Skateboard park amenities include bumpto-bump, kicker, four-foot street spine, fun box and grind rail. The city offers ice skating instruction and the ice rink is available for reservations.
Lilleskogen Park— 14600 Oakhill Road, offers eight acres of wooded terrain where the“ Children’ s Story Path” program allows pedestrians to walk the
