The Eden Prairie Community Center is a public facility open to walk-in participants as well as monthly and annual members. Whether someone is seeking space for meetings, parties, exercise, swimming or skating, the Community Center has it all.
The Aquatics Center houses two 8-lane, 25-yard lap pools with two diving boards, a zero-depth-entry recreational pool, a hot tub and a water slide. A variety of open and lap swimming opportunities are available, as well as dedicated time for recreation.
The Fitness Center features top-tier cardio equipment, resistance training machines and free weights. Those looking for group support during their workouts can find a selection of more than 150 weekly classes, including Zumba, barre, BodyPump, aquatics, yoga and Pilates.
Skating is a significant part of the center’ s offerings, featuring three indoor, regulation-size ice rinks. The rinks are open for regularly scheduled open skate, developmental skate, lessons and clinics throughout the year. The Community Center also serves as the home of the Eden Prairie Hockey Association and the Eden Prairie Figure Skating Club. Residents of all ages can enjoy the gymnasium, which offers pickup and league basketball, pickleball and two regulation volleyball courts. The gymnasium also features two full-size racquetball courts.
The Prairie Play Zone is a space for young residents to stay active. Children can enjoy an indoor adventure of sliding, climbing and crawling in the indoor play structure. For the community’ s youngest residents, there is also a special area for infants and toddlers to explore in a safe, parent-supervised zone.
The Community Center recently expanded its wellness programming to include unique animal-themed sessions. Following the success of bunny yoga in late 2024, the center continues to offer kitty yoga and puppy yoga sessions in partnership with local rescues to promote pet adoption and community wellness.
