EDEN PRAIRIE

COMMUNITY GUIDE 2026

Preserving, Commemorating History

Eden Prairie is a city steeped in history, from significant evidence of Native American habitation in the form of campsites and burial mounds to settler experiences cataloged in historic structures and artifacts. The Eden Prairie Historical Society serves as the city’ s history-keeping body, committed to chronicling and celebrating the community’ s heritage.
The society is an officially sanctioned organization responsible for gathering, protecting and celebrating Eden Prairie’ s past through physical records and artifacts. Its mission is to preserve historic artifacts and memorabilia, share the stories of people and places with audiences of all ages and foster an appreciation for historic preservation.
Annual memberships for $ 20 provide households with invitations to all special events and programs and special discounts. Members also receive voting privileges at the annual meeting, eligibility to serve on the Board of Directors and volunteer opportunities.
The society’ s Facebook group, Eden Prairie Remembers, updates the community on museum activities and historical outreach. Members can share information and ask questions within this history-focused community.
