Renown Health’ s service area encompasses Washoe County, Nevada, and extends into portions of eastern California and surrounding rural communities east of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. The Reno-Sparks metropolitan area, situated within Washoe County, represents the geographic and population core of Renown’ s service area.
Northern Nevada Public Health serves the Cities of Reno, Sparks and Washoe County.
For the purposes of this Community Health Needs Assessment, the service area is defined by 27 ZIP Code Tabulation Areas( ZCTAs) within Washoe County. These ZIP codes capture the full range of the county’ s demographic, geographic, and socioeconomic diversity from densely populated urban corridors in downtown Reno and Sparks, to rural and tribal communities in areas such as Nixon( 89424) and Wadsworth( 89442).
