Two important educational milestones are high school completion and completing a bachelor’ s degree. The vast majority of the county population( 88.7 %) have a high school diploma or higher, and nearly a third( 32.1 %) have a bachelor’ s degree or higher. As seen in Figure 12, Washoe County residents are more likely than the statewide Nevada population to have a bachelor’ s degree or higher( 32.1 % vs. 26.9 %).
