Bloomington Civic Plaza, a hub of activity

City business, artistic showcases and community gatherings all beckon residents to a central Bloomington location throughout the course of the year.
Bloomington Civic Plaza, a multi-purpose municipal facility, is home to the city’ s administrative offices, the Bloomington Police Department and the Center for the Arts. Much more than a typical government office building, it is a place alive with music, art and, during a farmers market, plenty of locally grown and produced food.
The Center for the Arts is a focal point of the performing and visual arts for thousands of people in Bloomington and the Twin Cities.
In addition to Bloomington Civic Plaza, the campus of municipal facilities includes the Public Works complex across the street from Civic Plaza, several smaller Public Works facilities, six fire stations, a water treatment plant and a community center under construction, which will also be the future home of the city’ s public health services.
While city amenities and services are offered on campus, you need not leave the comfort of home to connect to those services or register for programs and events. The city’ s website is an information hub and resource, providing residents, businesses and visitors with answers to specific questions at any time of the day.
Website visitors may submit a question or service request to the appropriate department, access webcasts, stream city council and other meetings, sign up for parks and recreation programs and events or register to volunteer for one of the
