To bridge the gap between hospital and home, the Transitional Care Unit at Meadows on Fairview provides short-term therapy and medical care for patients who need help easing back into home life after a hospital stay. M Health Fairview Counseling Centers and Behavioral Health Services offer help for a variety of mental health concerns, including depression and anxiety, substance abuse and gambling addiction. The North Branch Clinic offers same-day appointments, Urgent Care and 24 / 7 scheduling. Some of the services offered at the clinic include: family medicine, women’ s health and obstetrics and gynecology, lab, x-ray, physical therapy, and urgent care. There are also specialty services such as podiatry, diabetes education, medication therapy management and mammography. Virtual visits via OnCare and E-visits are available as well. A Fairview Pharmacy, conveniently located onsite, is open six days a week.

The regional health-care facility Cambridge Medical Center, part of Allina Health, has been providing comprehensive health care services to residents of east central Minnesota, for more than 50 years. The medical center is comprised of both an 86-bed hospital and a large multi-specialty clinic. There are more than 65 physicians and providers on staff and 27 consulting physicians providing specialty care such as cardiology, oncology, ENT, and urology, among others. The medical center has more than 900 employees and is the largest employer in the city of Cambridge. Outpatient care includes same-day surgery, wound care, mammograms, colonoscopies and infusion services such as chemotherapy. Many Allina Health specialists travel to the Cambridge Clinic, so patients don’ t have to travel. And, as care stays within Allina Health, transition to a specialty care provider is seamless with an electronic health record.
