Withholding Enrolment
6.1​ What it Means to Have Enrolment Withheld
When a Student ' s enrolment is withheld, the Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) will not receive the notification of enrolment or access to the Enrolment Agreement. The School will only provide Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) with access to the Enrolment Agreement upon the official release of the hold.
When the hold is released, Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) will be provided with access to the Enrolment Agreement, and the Student ' s account will be charged the tuition deposit. The due date for this deposit will be communicated to the Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) concurrently with the release of the hold.
6.2​ Circumstances Resulting in Withholding
The School may withhold or not advance an offer of enrolment to any Student under the following circumstances:
●​ The Student ' s account is frequently in arrears or has an overdue balance. ●​

The Student is on an academic, attendance, behavioural, or support plan or contract that has not yet been successfully concluded, or where progress toward resolving the issue is unsatisfactory.
The School concludes it cannot adequately provide all or a significant portion of the educational services necessary for the academic success of the Student or adequately support the Student ' s social or emotional development.
●​ The Student has engaged in serious misconduct. ●​
The Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) have materially breached the CHS Parent / Guardian Code of Conduct.
6.3​ Notification Before Final Decision
The School recognizes the need for Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) to secure alternative arrangements and will aim to provide timely notification:

Financial Obligations: If the rationale for withholding is due to a failure to settle account balances, the School will provide Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) with written notice and a minimum of one month to pay all outstanding amounts before making a final decision to withhold enrolment.
Other Bases: For all other rationales, the School will provide Parent( s)/ Guardian( s) as much advance notice as reasonably possible that enrolment may or will be withheld.
6.4​ Possible Enrolment Hold Outcomes and Review( March 1 to June 1)
If, by March 1, the School, at its sole and complete discretion, concludes that the concerns giving rise to the withholding of enrolment have not been resolved, the School may take one of the following actions:
