This course will provide the opportunity to explore the ethical and legal issues facing nursing and other health care providers in a complex every changing health care arena. The student will describe foundational ethical concepts in nursing and using ethical theories and decision-making frameworks will analyze ethical dilemmas both in nursing practice and as a clinical nurse leader. Students will be challenged to examine their individual and professional values, as well as consider diverse perspectives on various ethical issues.
