Credentialing: All students should complete NBRC Therapist Multiple Choice Examination and the NBRC Clinical Simulation Examination( RRT examinations) before completing the fourth year of the program. Students eligible for the BHS degree after the third year( due to the acceptance of transfer credits) should complete the RRT credentialing process within one year of graduation to maintain good standing with the program.

BSN Program Description: The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program( BSN) is structured to provide a strong foundation in the liberal arts, Mercy values, sciences, and professional nursing. Graduates from the BSN program are prepared as nurse generalists to give direct and indirect nursing care in a variety of health care settings to individuals, families, communities, and populations. Students acquire requisite knowledge, attitudes, and skills to contribute to the health care team in a variety of nursing roles such as caregiver, teacher, advocate, and leader. In addition, students obtain an education that provides a strong foundation for graduate study and nursing specialization.
Traditional BSN Option The Traditional option offers the opportunity for students to earn a BSN in three or four years through the completion of required core and nursing courses. Eligible transfer students may also complete the BSN in approximately 3 years if they meet program admission requirements and transfer 32 – 45 applicable credits.
Accelerated BSN( ABSN) Option The Accelerated BSN( ABSN) Track is a full-time program option for students who hold a bachelor’ s degree in another discipline and meet the prerequisite requirements. There are three opportunities during the year to begin this program: January, May, and August. The ABSN option is a year-round, fulltime, 16-month program.
BSN Weekend Option The BSN Weekend option is a part-time option for students who hold a bachelor’ s degree in a field other than nursing and meet the prerequisite requirements. Students in the BSN Weekend option attend classes, labs, and clinicals every weekend year-round, starting in August. Attendance on some Fridays will be required. Students may complete the BSN Weekend option in 3 years.
RN to BSN Option The RN to BSN option is a part time program designed for Licensed Registered Nurses who currently hold an Associate Degree or Diploma, and are seeking a pathway to complete the Bachelor of Science
