Credit Requirements: A minimum of 120 credits is required for the bachelor’ s degree.
Academic Progress, Probation, and Program Dismissal: Students must successfully complete all required courses in the program. A student who fails a required course may repeat the course once. If a student fails the same required course twice, the student may be dismissed from the program. All other academic progress and probation policies follow University guidelines.
Attendance: Regular class attendance is necessary for the attainment of satisfactory performance in university work and is the responsibility of each student. Requirements for class attendance within any course are at the discretion of the faculty member responsible for the course. Attendance is always required on the first day of each course.
Course Withdrawal Policies Same as University
Experiential Learning: Students are required to complete an internship that allows them to apply classroom learning in a professional setting. Through the internship experience, students observe professionals in their field, practice their skills under the supervision of experienced mentors, build professional networks, and gain valuable industry experience. Students should consult with their academic advisor before registering for the internship.

Program Description: The BA in Music Industry prepares students for dynamic careers in entertainment, arts, and digital media industries. This interdisciplinary program blends creative practice with media production, industry knowledge, and foundational business principles. Students will learn to create, manage, and monetize artistic content, develop professional identities, and sustainable creative careers.
The music industry is a significant global economic force that is constantly evolving with technological advancements. There is a demonstrable demand from both students and employers for professionals who possess a blend of artistic understanding and business insights. This major addresses that need, providing students with a professional path outside of traditional performance or education tracks, and providing them with readily transferable skills such as focus, perseverance, and entrepreneurial thinking.
