Methodology

The data for HealthStream’ s 2025 Trends in Medical Staff Credentialing is based on responses from 664 MSPs surveyed in January and February 2025. Most respondents( 82 %) said they work in a multi-facility environment, and they primarily hold credentialing titles( 36 %), manager titles( 22 %), or director titles( 21 %). Ninety-two percent of those surveyed are
“ very highly aware” or“ highly aware” of the medical staff credentialing and privileging process at their organizations. The survey achieved nationwide reach, gathering input from professionals working in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. A very small percentage( 1 %) of respondents were based outside the United States.
