FernieStoke Ski Shuttle Program

Tourism Fernie oversees and primarily funds the Ferniestoke Local Shuttle Program. The service was operated by Tunnel49 in the 2024-2025 ski season using the buses originally purchased in 2022 by the City of Fernie with tourism funding from the province under the RMI Program. The program is also financially supported by Fernie Alpine Resort and many local businesses that purchase advertising opportunities.
The winter Ferniestoke Shuttle program for the 24-25 season saw branding updates and a significant enhancement in 2024 with the launch of the new FernieStoke Shuttle APP funded partially by a grant from ETSI-BC and sponsored by The Fernie Taphouse! Available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, the APP provides users with online purchase & redemption of shuttle tickets, an interactive map showing all stops in detail and live tracking of the bus along the route. Users can also access current schedule, FAQ info and link to‘ What’ s Happening in Fernie’. The 2025-2026 season started successfully, including the removal of the last physical ticket program related to overnight guests accessing complimentary tickets which moved into the app system. The shuttle is now fully digital for riders.
