Pioneer Park provides a peaceful setting with miles of trails for exploring through a wooded floodplain on the Rum River . The trails in Pioneer Park are groomed throughout winter for cross country skiing . The trail meanders along the river behind the middle school , which has been instrumental in lessons for students , other residents and visitors about nature and the environment . The trail also boasts workout equipment for those wishing to add more intensity to their nature walks .
RIVERSIDE-RIEBE PARK 300 Rum River Dr . N . and 203 Fourth St . Cir .
Truly a community anchor , adjacent to downtown and located along the east and west banks of the convergence of the Rum River , Riverside-Riebe Park provides a unique and serene setting for community events and gatherings .
Riverside-Riebe Park offers many opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the outdoors . Amenities include : a small , sandy swimming beach , improved boat launch with floating dock , newly constructed fishing pier , campsites , trails , picnic sites , a dog park , multiple shelters and a disc-golf course . Camping with 30 / 50 amp electric is available for up to eight recreational vehicles . Additionally , three tent sites are available on the west side of the river . SHERBURNE NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE 17076 293rd Ave ., Zimmerman It doesn ’ t take long to get in close touch with nature for as long as is desired with a visit to the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge . Across the 30,700 acres of prairie , wetlands and oak savanna there live white-tailed deer , otter and beaver visible to the careful , patient watcher .
The refuge has many areas to explore , but the main two in the Princeton area are the Blue Hill and the Mahnomen , which traverse more than nine miles for excellent hiking or cross country skiing . During the state seasons , hunting of small and big game and waterfowl is available , as well as fishing . The refuge hosts many events throughout the year , including the Wildlife festival , wildflower walks , snowshoe hikes and more .

Veterans Park is a small , neighborhood pocket park that features picnic tables , open space , shade and a small memorial .
YOUNG PARK 30239 128th St . NW , Baldwin Township
Young Park is situated about a mile east of Highway 169 along County Road 38 and east of County Road 19 , across from the Baldwin Cemetery . Young Park is home to the annual Baldwin Fun Fest , a community-wide celebration held in the fall , usually September , of each year . The park boasts a boardwalk system that makes for a perfect walk through a forest and prairie any time of year . Young Park has a playground and a small enclosed building that can serve different functions for different events .
