Mille Lacs County Fair
The Mille Lacs County Fair celebrates community and agriculture each year at the Mille Lacs County Fair Board likes to call the “ biggest family reunion ” in the county . The 2025 Mille Lacs County Fair will occur Aug . 6-10 , with the grounds opening at 8 a . m . each day featuring entertaining activities and all the traditions everyone enjoys .
The Mille Lacs County Agricultural Society – also known as the fair board – is an independent nonprofit that owns the local fairgrounds , including all of the buildings and is its steward . The all-volunteer fair board takes pride in many subcommittees and dedicated groups who make things happen from the animal competitions to clean restrooms and well maintained grounds and buildings . Each year , the board typically undertakes a significant capital project ; in 2024 , the new Bingo Pavilion was constructed in partnership with American Legion Post 216 . In addition , three different Eagle Scout projects were completed by members from the Princeton Boy Scouts Troop 132 .

Coming back in 2025 are all the traditional favorites : tractor pulls , demolition derby , kids pedal tractor pull , 4-H and Open Class exhibits , Little Farm Hands , Chopper the Nutty DJ ( Thursday ) and the Arts Garden for All . The fair board encourages everyone to try their hand at submitting an Open Class exhibit – whether it be baking , sewing , vegetables , fabric arts , photography or painting – or entering the Saturday talent contest where winners can go on to perform at the State Fair . There is also American Legion Bingo – a family friendly game that is open for everyone to play !
Variety is the spice of life , so new attractions are offered each year . In 2024 it was the high-flying Steamers Thrill Show . In 2025 there will be live tigers at the Tiger Encounter , glass blowing demonstrations and two days of presentations by photographer RJ Kern who has been published in National Geographic and has done a photo essay on 4-H competitors .
Princeton Swap Meet , Kinship ’ s Pumpkin Chuckin ’ and the Trucker Fest Music Festival .
There is something for everyone at the Fair and on the Fairgrounds located at 1400 Third St . N . in Princeton .
Admission to the Fair is $ 5 daily , or $ 15 for a multi-day pass . Veterans and active military service members receive free admission thanks to a partnership with local veteran organizations . Parking is free at the fairgrounds , and parking lot shuttles will help you get from
