EMERGENCY INFORMATION( 911)
In the event of a life-threatening emergency, call 911.
• Licensed EMT’ s, EMS Units, and Clinic Staff will be onsite throughout the week.
For non life-threatening emergencies, call Tribal Police at 269.397.1610.
• The Tribal Police Mobile Command Center will be located at Jijak during the week with 24 / 7 patrols.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES The EMT station is located at the Public Safety Command Center and is staffed at all times for your safety.
HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES / MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
The Nurse Cabin will be open during the 2025 Pottawatomi Gathering to provide general first aid and basic medical assistance. It is intended for minor injuries, general health concerns, and first aid needs. Any medical assistance will require applicable paperwork.
• To see a medical provider, call Gun Lake Tribal Health Clinic at 269.397.1760, option # 1.
• For Medical Emergencies, call 9-1-1.
• If you need immediate assistance with a mental health emergency call or text 9-8-8.
• For domestic violence services, call 1.800.799.7233.
• For minor injuries, band-aids will be available at various locations throughout Jijak. Look for first aid flags.

Monday, July 28: 8:00 a. m. – 7:00 p. m. Friday, August 1: 8:00 a. m. – 10:00 p. m. Tuesday, July 29: 8:00 a. m. – 8:00 p. m. Saturday, August 2: 8:00 a. m. – 10:00 p. m. Wednesday, July 30: 8:00 a. m. – 7:00 p. m. Sunday, August 3: 8:00 a. m. – 5:00 p. m. Thursday, July 31: 8:00 a. m. – 10:00 p. m.
SWIMMING
• Swimming is closed from sunset to sunrise.
• Swimming will be closed on August 1 from 8:00 a. m. – 11:00 a. m. to accommodate the fishing contest.
• Life guards will be on duty from 12:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. on July 30- August 2.
• When a lifeguard is not on duty, swim at your own risk. Youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
SEVERE WEATHER NOTICE Jijak Camp does not have storm shelters. In the event of severe weather, please seek shelter at the Gun Lake Casino Resort( designated locations are marked), located approximately three miles east of Jijak.
• Safety Reminder: RVs, campers, cars, and tents are NOT safe during severe storms. If no other shelter is available, a car is the safest location.
There will be a test of the emergency broadcast system happening at 11:00 a. m. on Friday, August 1. This is a statewide emergency test and no action will need to be taken.
No pets are allowed except for service animals with documentation. Absolutely no animals will be allowed in the Powwow Arena. Gun Lake Tribe is not responsible for lost or stolen items. No firearms or any weaponry allowed( archery equipment will be provided). Smoking and vaping of any kind( tobacco, cannabis, etc.) is not permitted on any property. All Gathering locations are on Federal Trust Land so Federal and Tribal laws apply.
PURCHASE OF ICE Ice will be for sale by the arena.
