North Memorial a pillar in trauma care

Robbinsdale’ s North Memorial Health Hospital has served residents in the west metro for more than 80 years.
Since earning its distinction as a Level One Trauma Center 25 years ago, the hospital has treated nearly 50,000 patients within a 500-mile radius with a 97 % survival rate. Aside from the trauma center, the hospital offers dozens of other care and service areas.

Memorial to a 518-bed facility. In 1985, a helipad was added to the roof. The first totally integrated, hospital-based medical transportation system in Minnesota now includes nine helicopters, 105 ambulances and a system that includes more than 900 doctors and 5,000 employees.
The integrated system includes North Memorial Hospital, Maple Grove Hospital, primary care clinics offering sameday and walk-in appointments, urgent care clinics, express clinics located in grocery stores, urgency centers and a broad range of expert specialty care providers. From maternity to senior care, North Memorial’ s team delivers all aspects of life by providing primary and specialty care for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of complex medical conditions.
North Memorial Health clinics became under partial ownership by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota in 2020.
