Blue Line is on its way
The Blue Line light rail is set to go through Robbinsdale on County Road 81, through Crystal and all the way to Brooklyn Park. All the cities, including Crystal and Robbinsdale have given municipal consent. The project is at 60 % design completion as of this printing. There will be two stops in Robbinsdale, one in Crystal and a parking ramp in Robbinsdale as well. In the parking ramp, the Metro Transit Police are expected to have a station, as well as a presence all along the corridor.
A tentative schedule for this train would have construction begin as soon as 2027.
Light rail would then allow for west metro residents to reach Target Field, or go all the way to the Mall of America without a car.
