Robbinsdale Area Schools serves over 10,000 preK-12 students from Plymouth, Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Golden Valley, New Hope and Robbinsdale.
The mission of Robbinsdale Area Schools aims to inspire and educate all learners to develop their unique potential and positively contribute to their community. Its goal is to empower students to believe in themselves, create safe and welcoming places so students feel like they belong in their school community and know they can become whatever it is they see in their dreams.
Robbinsdale Area Schools serves students in 11 elementary schools, four middle schools, two traditional high schools, an alternative high school and a virtual academy. Its schools offer learning pathways for students who have a passion for science, engineering, arts and technology, dual language immersion, fine arts and more. Summer programming includes Freedom Schools for grades K-8, as well as high school academic recovery and feebased summertime childcare for grades K-8.
Robbinsdale Area Schools employs staff who passionately serve their students every day. The district is governed by a seven-member school board elected at-large in staggered terms. The board sets policies and hires the superintendent, who ensures those policies are implemented across the district. The school board typically meets on the first and third Monday of every month at the Education Service Center, 4148 Winnetka Ave. N., New Hope.
