The two were quick to discuss some of their other teammates that they expect to have a good season. Dylann mentioned Mack Slaughter who returns as an all-conference linebacker. Dalen mentioned Aiden Rodney as a player to look out for. They both agreed that one Mustang that should have a great season is Robert Martinez who will play the running back position.
Both also gave a considerable amount of credit to their Coach Tom Sears who is known around Northeast Arkansas as one of the top offensive minds that always does a great job of developing good quarterbacks.“ It has been a great experience playing for Coach Sears,” stated Dalen.“ He has taught us so much over the years even about stuff off the field. In general, he’ s a great coach.” Dylann had nothing but great things to say as well.“ My experience with Coach Sears has been amazing. He’ s a great coach with a lot of experience and knowledge. Not just me but everyone else on the team can agree that he helps you grow not just on the field but with your personal life as well. He holds you accountable for your actions, giving you leadership qualities and other things that will prepare you for life. He’ s a great coach, and I wouldn’ t ask for anyone else. He’ s truly been an inspirational person in my life.”
Coach Sears will look for the twins to bring forth their chemistry to help the team be successful this season.“ There is definitely a special chemistry between the two of us on the field,” said Dylann. Look for the Barnhills to help turn the Mustangs back to their winning ways and push Hoxie to the top of a tough 3A-3 Conference.
