MILACA LIONS CLUB
The Milaca Lions Club supports the city and community in a number of ways , both locally and in a broader sense . The Milaca Lions are a dedicated and altruistic organization that works to serve the communities of Milaca , Bock , Foreston and Pease .
The overall Lions Club , with its motto , “ We Serve ,” is the largest service organization in the world and is widely known for its contributions in eyesight and hearing research as well as improving playgrounds and parks . The club was started in 1917 and has 1.4 million members in 203 countries .
In Milaca , supports the community through winter clothing drives , a poinsettia fundraisers , donations to Milaca Schools , a holiday cheer program for seniors , local eyesight screenings for
kids and more .
The Milaca Lions Club was returned to the community in 2023 after disbanding for 13 years , and now has over 30 members . The club meets at 6 p . m . the second Monday of each month at local American Legion Post 178 .
