Akima has reached a major milestone with the opening of a new 35,000-square-foot office in Huntsville, Alabama. The facility strengthens Akima’ s presence in one of the nation’ s most important defense, aerospace, and space-operations hubs and positions our team closer to Akima’ s federal customers such as, U. S. Army, U. S. Space Force, NASA, FBI, and Missile Defense Agency at Redstone Arsenal.

The modern workspace was designed to support high-performance operations and includes flexible collaboration areas, advanced training and simulation rooms, and secure technology environments. These features allow Akima teams to respond more effectively to our federal customers.
Akima celebrated the opening this spring with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended
by Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle and other city officials, federal partners, military leaders, and members of the Huntsville business community. The company was also welcomed as a member of the Huntsville / Madison County Chamber of Commerce, underscoring Akima’ s long-term commitment to the region.
This expansion marks more than a physical investment. It represents the continued success of the NANA-owned federal contracting family of companies, including Pinnacle Solutions, which was recently awarded a $ 369 Million T-7A Training Systems contract.

Community and connection at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

Akima employees gathered at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

Akima employees and their families gathered once again at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta for the company’ s annual employee appreciation event. Against the backdrop of morning lift-offs and evening glow sessions, the celebration highlighted the spirit of camaraderie that fuels Akima’ s workplace culture.

The Balloon Fiesta has become a cherished tradition for our Albuquerque-area teams. The event offers employees the chance to step away from day-to-day responsibilities, connect with colleagues, and enjoy one of the region’ s most well-known community celebrations.
Moments like these reflect the heart of Akima’ s culture. Our people and their families are central to Akima’ s success, and this annual gathering is one way we honor and thank them for their contributions throughout the year.

AMT career opportunities for NANA shareholders

NANA shareholders interested in a hands-on technical career with strong earning potential have a unique opportunity through the Shareholder Aircraft Maintenance Technician( AMT) Program offered by Pegasus Aviation Services, an Akima company. The program helps shareholders enter the aviation maintenance field, gain industry-recognized certifications, and build long-term careers in a high-demand sector.

Participants receive support at every stage of their journey, including help securing scholarships, grants, and are provided
other financial assistance. Many students also work part-time for Pegasus at the Anchorage Airport while completing their studies, allowing them to apply classroom instruction to real-world aviation operations.
Shareholders enrolled in the program attend the University of Alaska Anchorage’ s Aviation Technology Program to earn their FAA-certified AMT license. The combination of academic training and on-the-job experience provides a strong foundation for careers maintaining aircraft and aviation systems across Alaska and beyond.
This opportunity is well suited for shareholders who enjoy mechanical work, want a stable career path, and are interested in joining an essential part of Alaska’ s transportation infrastructure.
More information about requirements, program details, and how to apply can be found at Akima. com / AMT.
