As President of the Florida Home Builders Association in 1973 and Florida’ s Builder of the year in 1978, he distinguished himself as a visionary industry leader. He won recognition for the home building industry as an integral part of the state’ s business community and forged a consensus on the need to balance environmental protection and economic growth. His political activities including serving as Mayor of the City of Tallahassee.( Elected to Hall in 1999)
