Former Georgia Governor Nathan Deal wrote a children ’ s story titled “ Veto , the Governor ’ s Cat ” as a tribute to his wife , former First L : ady Sandra Deal , who read to students at more than a thousand schools across Georgia and advocated for literacy during his two terms in office . To ensure that all students could access his book , he visited the Braille Program at Central State Prison to learn how books are converted into braille .
