Cross Functional Sustainability Committee
The Cross-Functional Sustainability Committee serves an integral role in implementing the goals of the Airports Authority’ s Sustainability Plan. This collaborative team involves employees from different departments, spanning 15 areas of expertise across the Airports Authority. This team meets at regular intervals to discuss the Plan’ s initiatives and overarching objectives. Beyond this primary function, the group also identifi es strategies for expanding sustainability targets and acts as a hub for idea exchange, data collection and information dissemination across various airport departments.
Green Concessions Program
The Green Concessions Program is a cornerstone of the Airports Authority’ s strategy to achieve sustainability goals. Recognizing that shops and restaurants represent a signifi cant share of airport resource use and waste generation, the program partners with tenants to drive measurable environmental and social improvements while enhancing brand value and customer engagement.
Since its inception, the program has steadily expanded, refl ecting strong tenant engagement and a growing culture of sustainability across both airports. In 2025, 28 concessions were recognized during an award ceremony held on July 9, 2025, at Dulles International Airport, bringing the total to 102 since the program began. The awardees include:
