Business thrives in Burnsville
The Burnsville Chamber of Commerce represents hundreds of local businesspeople focus on the core areas of advocacy, workforce development and economic development.
It aims to help businesses“ Be Visible, Be Heard, Be Informed and Connect and Grow.” It provides networking and referral outlets, leadership and volunteer opportunities, and serves as the voice of business at the local, regional, state and federal levels.
The chamber was founded in 1965 to maintain and improve the economic climate of the community.
In addition to providing weekly e-newsletters, the chamber regularly hosts events to promote business, such as professional development seminars, networking opportunities, Small Business & Tourism Week and the Annual Meeting. Also on the slate are the Burnsville & Savage Chambers Golf Classic and Fall Fling Sporting Clay Challenge and the Burnsville Mingle & Jingle: A Holiday Social with Bingo in December.
The chamber has a presence at well-known Burnsville events such as Burnsville Festival & Fire Muster, hosted in September.

Members interested in serving the chamber in a leadership capacity can be involved a committee or join various roundtable groups.
The 2025 Board of Directors includes 12 members and is chaired by Eric Childs, of Mind’ s Eye Comics. Among the committees are: Ambassador Committee, which plays a role in heightening the image of the chamber, increasing membership participation, welcoming new business to the area, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere at all functions.
Public Policy Committee, which serves as a protective voice for the business community, monitors business issues, educates the business community and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors. It provides a forum for communication between government and the business community.
Other committees are: Business Education Network and Events Committee.
