Schools inspire tomorrow’ s leaders
Burnsville-Eagan-Savage Independent School District 191 educates about 8,000 students across 13 schools. The district includes eight elementary schools( K-5), two middle schools( 6-8), one high school and one alternative high school, along with the One91 Virtual Academy.
District 191 is a future-forward school district creating barrier-free pathways for learning for everyone in the community. The district believes learning is a lifelong pursuit, and it creates programs, services and opportunities that inspire this belief.
District 191’ s unique“ Pathways” model of education exists at the intersection of passion and purpose, removing barriers and providing opportunities for students to explore and discover With the support of more than 200 community partnerships, Pathways sparks a sense of wonder in elementary students, fuels the interests of middle school students, and prepares Burnsville High School students to blaze their own path into the future.

The vision statement says District 191 will be a school district that provides transformative learning experiences that mirror students’ own stories, and where students will:

- Be supported by a caring community that sparks their curiosity and fuels their progress down a self-determined path.

Many special programs are utilized at all school buildings including those related to science, technology, math, the arts and the One91 Pathways at the high school. It offers instruction and experience in four career fields, 14 Pathways, five industry certifications.
District 191 is led by Superintendent Latanya Daniels, who was hired in June 2025 by the School Board.
